The Richard Nixon Library posted a thoughtful historical piece by Frank Gannon on Bob Dylan’s song “Like a Rolling Stone,” under its series “The Soundtrack of Our Lives.” The song debuted at the 1965 The Newport Folk Festival, when Dylan brought an electric guitar to the event and “changed rock history.” It was the second song in the set. The first song, “Maggie’s Farm,” generated the first shock among the festival audience, and is available for purchase and download on the iTunes store.
